AI Connector add-on In planning

Theme Integrations

Native page-builder support. AI agents that don't break your layouts.

Most AI plugins treat WordPress content as flat HTML. That breaks anything built with Elementor, Bricks, or custom Gutenberg blocks. This add-on, in planning, will give AI Connector native awareness of popular page builders so agents can edit pages without flattening structures.

Why this exists

Page builders aren't HTML. AI tools treating them like HTML will break them.

When an AI agent edits an Elementor page through the standard WP REST API, it sees serialised HTML with shortcode-like markers. If the agent rewrites that HTML, the markers can drift, the JSON metadata Elementor relies on can desync, and the page structure breaks. The same is true for Bricks, custom Gutenberg blocks, and most modern theme frameworks.

Theme Integrations will add per-builder adapters so the agent sees the actual page structure — widgets, sections, dynamic data — and edits in the same data format the builder uses. Edits round-trip cleanly. Layouts stay intact. Responsive controls stay alive.

Planned coverage

Where we're focusing first.

Priority is set by demand. If your stack isn't here, tell us.

Elementor

Edit Elementor widgets with their native data structures intact. No more flattened HTML that breaks responsive controls.

Bricks Builder

Native support for Bricks elements, dynamic data, and global classes. Edits round-trip cleanly back into the builder.

Gutenberg blocks

Full block-fidelity editing — including custom blocks, block patterns, and reusable blocks — without serialising to HTML soup.

GeneratePress / Astra

Customizer-aware edits for the most popular lightweight themes. Theme settings stay in their proper home.

Currently in planning

We're collecting demand signals before committing to specific page-builder targets. If you depend on a particular builder for client work or your own site, tell us — that's how priority gets set.

In the meantime, the free AI Connector core works with any WordPress site. Page builders typically still respond to direct REST edits; you'll just want to test before bulk-editing builder-managed content.
