Provider setup
Configure provider credentials for Axtolab AI Image Generation and run a small media test.
Updated
Axtolab AI Image Generation uses the provider credentials you configure. Keep provider keys private and start with a small test image before using the workflow on production content.
Before adding a provider key
Check:
- AI Connector is installed and active.
- The Image Generation add-on is installed and licensed.
- You have provider credentials for a supported provider.
- You understand that provider usage may create charges on that provider account.
Do not paste provider keys into support tickets or AI chat prompts.
Configure the provider
- Open the Image Generation settings area in WordPress.
- Choose the provider you want to use.
- Add the provider credential in the field shown by the plugin.
- Save settings.
- Run the provider test if one is available.
If the provider test fails, check that the key is active, has the required provider permissions, and has not hit a quota or billing limit.
First media test
Use a small, reviewable prompt.
Example:
Generate a simple editorial image for a WordPress setup guide. Avoid logos, trademarks, faces, and text inside the image.
After generation:
- Confirm the media item appears in the WordPress media library.
- Open the media item and review image quality.
- Add useful alt text.
- Use it on a draft first, not a live page.
Production habits
- Review every generated image before publishing.
- Avoid asking for third-party logos, copyrighted characters, or realistic people unless you have a clear right to use the result.
- Keep provider spend limits set in the provider account where available.
- Rotate provider keys if a key is exposed.
